Redwood Fence Renewal ยท Custom Planters ยท Stone Path

When the Fence Is Right,
the Whole Yard Is Right.

New redwood pickets, a custom single gate, hand-built redwood planter boxes, and a stepping stone path โ€” all stained to match. This is what the Renew method looks like when it goes beyond the fence line.

Project 04 ยท Full Backyard Renewal

Redwood Pickets. Custom Gate.
Matching Planters & Stone Path.

This job started as a fence renewal โ€” old pickets removed, one post added, a single gate built in place of the old double. The homeowner wanted the full picture, so we custom-built matching redwood planter boxes and laid a stepping stone path through the front yard. Stained throughout for a unified, finished look.

Weathered Fence โ†’ Complete Yard Transformation

Faded paint, gapping pickets, and a bare front yard became fresh redwood throughout, a custom single gate, matching redwood planter boxes, and a stepping stone path โ€” all stained to match.

Custom Redwood Planters

Built to match the fence โ€” same redwood, same stain. Three boxes flank the gate and anchor the yard's new look.

Stepping Stone Path

Hand-laid stone path runs through the front yard to the gate, tying the whole space into a finished outdoor room.

Double-to-Single Gate

Replaced the old double gate with a single, better-framed unit โ€” cleaner look, easier to use, built to last.

Project 01 ยท Fence Renewal

5 Posts In. Same Pickets.
Completely Different Fence.

This backyard privacy fence had rotted post bases and sections pulling away from the ground. We set 5 new structural posts, reset the fence line, and reused all original pickets โ€” at a fraction of the rebuild cost.

Leaning Section โ€” Structural Support Gone

Without a solid post, this section had drifted outward and separated at the base. New footings and a replacement post brought it back in line.

Owner Attempted DIY โ€” Crooked Post, Leaning Fence

The homeowner tried to fix the fence themselves, resulting in a crooked post and a leaning fence. This is exactly the kind of situation TFR is built for.

Project 05 ยท Emergency Fence Rescue

Completely Collapsed.
Rescued With the Original Pickets.

This fence wasn't leaning โ€” it was down. Entire sections had collapsed flat and the homeowner needed it standing without a full rebuild budget. We set 6 new posts, rescued every usable original picket from the collapse, and drove steel fence repair spikes into posts that still had life left. The result looks weathered because those are the original rescued pickets โ€” and that's exactly the point. Same wood, standing straight, fraction of the rebuild cost.

Fence Down โ€” Not Leaning. Down.

The posts had rotted clean through at ground level. Entire sections had fallen flat, taking the pickets with them. This is the worst case scenario for a homeowner โ€” no privacy, no security. They needed it standing fast.

Straight, Solid & Standing โ€” Original Pickets Throughout

Reuse What's Still Good

Original pickets, posts, and hardware that still have life in them get saved, not swapped out. If it works, we keep it โ€” and pass that savings straight to you.

๐Ÿ”ฉ

Reinforce Before You Replace

Steel repair spikes, sistered posts, and targeted fixes mean we can stabilize without a full teardown. Less labor, less material, same solid result.

๐Ÿ’ฐ

Renewal Over Rebuild โ€” Every Time

Every project on this page saved the homeowner money by choosing Renew over Rebuild. New posts where needed, original materials everywhere else โ€” that's the TFR difference.
